Cookies and Browser Storage

Last updated: September 25, 2026

Talkra stores only what it needs to sign you in and run calls. We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.

Cookies and browser storage

A cookie is a small file that a website stores in your browser and that is sent back with every request. Local storage and session storage are similar browser features, but their contents stay in your browser unless the page reads them and sends them itself. Session storage is cleared when you close the tab.

Talkra sets one cookie, named refresh_token, so you stay signed in after you close the page. The other items below stay in your browser's storage. Their contents are not sent unless the page reads them and sends them itself.

Cookies set by others

  • When you choose Sign in with Google, you are taken to Google, which may set its own cookies under Google's cookie policy. We do not receive them.
  • Staff who sign in to our admin panel receive a separate session cookie for that panel.

Why there is no consent banner

EU law (Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive) allows information to be stored in your browser without consent when it is strictly necessary for a service you asked for. Everything listed above falls into that category.

If we ever add optional storage, such as analytics, we will ask for your consent first and update this page.

How to control it

  • Signing out removes the sign-in cookie, the access token, and the account details from your browser.
  • Clearing site data for this website in your browser settings removes everything listed here.
  • If you block cookies for this website, you will have to sign in again each time you open it.
  • If you block storage for this website, you will not be able to sign in.
